Canada Lynx

The newest addition to our Adirondack Flower Fest is a live animal show!! Animal Educator Bernie Hoffman will bring several animals for the lecture. Come to the library and get up close to an animal of New York’s past, a real live Canada Lynx. The Canada Lynx was once abundant in the state and has now since disappeared to an occasional sighting. Bernie will give information about it’s history and biology. Bernie will also be bringing Burt the Parrot, Muffin the Chinchilla & a Hedgehog, along with specimens of animals found in the Adirondack area – like bobcat, red fox, grey fox, ermine, mink. There will be time for touching some of the animals.

This program was supported by Federal Library Services and Technology Act funds, awarded to the New York State Library by the Federal Institute of Museum and Library Services.”
