This is an event you won’t want to miss. Come and hear Dr. Way tell of the men and women of our area who served in WWII.
Stories from Adirondacks Greatest Generation.” Way will use historic photographs, photographs from veterans and his own pictures along with selections from his book. Dr. Way’s presentation is sponsored by the Hadley-Luzerne Public Library and is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Gov. Andrea Cuomo and the NYD Legislature and administered by the Lower Regional Arts Council.
Dr. Daniel Way, a native of Glens Falls, New York, has practiced family medicine in the Adirondack Park for over thirty years as a member of the Hudson Headwaters Health Network. He also is a noted photographer and author. We Were There is Doctor Way’s tribute to the Adirondack’s greatest generation. He writes about the World War II veterans he has known, painstakingly documenting their life stories. His illustrations include his own photos of veterans, battlegrounds and the relics of the greatest armed conflict in the history of the world.
