I am about to go through another round of purchasing magazines for the library.  Are there any favorites out there that you would like the library to purchase? Keep in mind I try to stay within a budget to offer as many selections as possible to as many people as possible.  So very expensive magazines subscriptions are not usually within our budget unless I can justify them with a significant circulation.  Still all will be at least considered.  What would you like to see?

The Hadley-Luzerne Public Library now has ACT for Youth Grant Applications. Any youth or groups of youth between the ages of 10-19 who reside in Washington and Warren Counties are eligible for grant money. Grant awards are up to $500.00.  These grants are to help young people make a difference in thier school, neighborhood or community-community service opportunities. Come into the library for more information.

Would you like to help the library? Join our friends group.  The friends of the library is a group who helps the library raise funds.  This year we are looking to raise funds for a video drop box.  We also will be selling discount tickets to the Great Escape.

The library has weeded the magazine collection.  The discarded magazines will be taken to be recycled unless someone out there wants them.  Do you know of a hospital, office, group home or any other place that might want them?  Magazines will be saved until November 30th.  First come first to choose which ones to take.
