Hi,

I have found a very good online tutorial for the net library audio books. This will show you with pictures and easy to follow instructions so you can start listening to your choice of over a thousand e-audio books today!!

One way you can listen to these e-audio books is from your computer.

Another way is put them on an MP3 player. The MP3 player must have windows media player on it for software. This is very common. The player is inexpensive and as easy to use as a tape player once you get past the learning curve. You can take the player with you for walks, runs, hiking, or even in your car.

There are thousands of books to choose from! You never have to worry about returning them. You can renew them. When you are done, delete them off your player.

So watch the tutorial and start listening today!

Hi,
I am about to go through another round of purchasing magazines for the library. Are there any favorites out there that you would like the library to purchase? Keep in mind I try to stay within a budget to offer as many selections as possible to as many people as possible. So very expensive magazines subscriptions are not usually within our budget unless I can justify them with a significant circulation. Still all will be at least considered. What would you like to see?

The book they will be picking up on Tuesday is The Pearl diver by Jeff Talarigo. A first novel of rare beauty and sensitivity, Jeff Talarigo’s The Pearl Diver follows the harsh fate of a 19-year-old Japanese pearl diver who is diagnosed with leprosy. It is 1948. There are trial medications for her condition, but a weight of prejudice against her. Her name is erased from the family register, and she is rowed to a lifelong exile at the island leprosarium on Nagashima. They will discuss this book at the May 13th meeting.
