Summer 2009 Local Events

Tuesday May 12th -7:00 pm @ Library- Professional wildlife photographer Gerry Lemmo shared his photos of the birds in our Adirondack backyard.
Tuesday June 9th- 7:00 pm @ Library~ James Durlier discussed what life was like for the citizens of the Adirondacks during the Great Depression.
Wednesday June 24th- 7:00 pm @ Library~ Great River of the Mountains author documents travels speaking with Fishermen, loggers, folksingers, and storytellers.
Tuesday July 14th- Amy Godine, frequent contributor to Adirondack Life Magazine, is our guest speaker. She will be speaking about the ethnic history of our area.
Saturday July 18th- Riverview Arts and Crafts Fair.  This is the library’s annual book sale combined with over 30 local art and craft vendors. The event is held in Pavilion Park on 9N in Lake Luzerne.  This year we will be open till 4:00!!
Tuesday July 28th- Turning Points in Adirondack History. Andy Flynn will be our guest speaker. He is an award-winning journalist and a trustee with the Franklin County Historical Society.
Tuesday September 1- Deer Hunting in the Adirondacks.  Dan Ladd, Outdoors Editor at the Chronicle newspaper will be the guest speaker.
Tuesday October 6th Coyotes in New York State and the Adirondacks. Gordon Batcheller, Wildlife Biologist with the NYS DEC will be our guest speaker.

Funds provided by the Town of Lake Luzerne and Warren County  All programs are free and open to the public.
