It seems likely that the library and the library system will be closed for most of May. We agreed at our meeting  to have  our next meeting on June 11 at 4:30 pm on the lawn in back of the library (bring you own chair). We will observe social distancing and probably wear face masks. Since we will not have the next book on our regular schedule in time to read and reflect on it, we have selected Charles Dickens’ A Tale of Two Cities for our discussion.

We selected this classic book because it is widely and immediately available at little or no cost. If you have a computer, tablet, smartphone or other electronic device, you can download the appropriate app (Kindle or Nook) and then get the e-book at no cost from Amazon or Barnes and Noble.  In addition, the apps Overdrive and Libby will enable you to borrow it as an e-book or audiobook from the library system.  You can also get the book in paperback for about $4.99 on Amazon.

If bad weather is forecast for June 11, we will have the meeting via GoToMeeting once again.

I’ll keep you updated as we go along.
